The X Iberian Modelling Week will be held at the Department of Mathematics, School of Sciences (Building 6), University of Minho, Braga, Portugal, from July 15 to July 19, 2024. It is an event jointly promoted by the Portuguese Network of Mathematics for Industry and Innovation, PT-MATHS-IN, and the Spanish Network of Mathematics and Industry, math-in.

This Iberian Modelling Week (IMW) is primarily intended for PhD students, master's, and undergraduate students with a strong component in mathematics, and aims to provide students the opportunity to work on real problems that arise in an industrial context, similar to those they may encounter in the future, better preparing them to face the job market and meet its demands.

The international nature of the event not only brings students closer to the industry but also facilitates the exchange of experiences among students from different educational backgrounds.

The IMW also aims to make the industry aware of the added value of Mathematics when applied to solving real problems from various industrial areas.

The Iberian Modeling Week is an annual event that has been alternating between Portugal and Spain since its first edition in 2014 in Coimbra. The last edition took place in Palma (Mallorca, Balearic Islands) from July 17 to 21, 2023.
